Crusaders supporters are voicing frustration after next season’s membership prices jumped by up to 40 percent, with some packages tripling in cost as the team prepares to shift into Christchurch’s new One NZ Stadium (Te Kaha).
Platinum memberships will rise from $380 to $575, while reserved seating memberships jump from $140 to $450.
Fans have taken to social media to question affordability.
Speaking to state-funded media, Crusaders CEO Colin Mansbridge defended the increases, likening the new stadium experience to trading in a Ford Cortina for a Ferrari, and pointing to lower-cost silver memberships as an option.
