Police in Nigeria have charged Anthony Joshua’s driver following a fatal highway crash that killed two members of the boxer’s team and left Joshua injured.
Prosecutors say the Lexus SUV Joshua was travelling in struck a stationary truck on the Lagos–Ibadan expressway in Ogun state, killing his personal trainer Latif Ayodele and strength coach Sina Ghami at the scene.
The driver faces multiple charges including causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a valid licence, and has been granted bail ahead of a court hearing later this month.
Joshua was treated in hospital and later discharged, before visiting a funeral home as preparations were made to repatriate the bodies.
