Emma Twigg has ended her 16-year Olympic rowing career with a gutsy performance at the Vaires-sur-Marne course, securing a silver medal.
Inspired by her friend and mentor, double Olympic champion Mahé Drysdale, Twigg faced the pressure of the regatta week with a focused yet relaxed mindset.
Despite a valiant push in the final 500 metres, she fell short of gold. The silver medal adds to her gold from Tokyo.
