Fiji beats Wales in Cardiff as host’s losing streak reaches 10 matches

Caleb Muntz scored 19 points, leading Fiji to a 24-19 victory over Wales in Cardiff, extending the hosts’ losing streak to ten games.

Muntz contributed a brilliant solo try, four penalties, and a conversion, while Josua Tuisova added a powerful try that silenced the home crowd.

Wales started strong with tries from Blair Murray, Ellis Bevan, and a penalty try, but discipline issues—including a yellow card for Tommy Reffell and a red for Fiji’s Semi Radradra—shaped the contest. Despite being down to 13 players, Fiji clawed back, with Muntz’s accurate kicking giving them a narrow lead.

A final penalty from Muntz secured the win, leaving Wales to rue missed opportunities and a continued slide since their last victory at the previous World Cup.
