New Zealand stormed into the Men’s T20 World Cup final with a dominant nine-wicket win over South Africa, powered by a blistering unbeaten century from Finn Allen.
Chasing 170, Allen smashed 100 from just 33 balls while Tim Seifert added 58 off 33 as the opening pair put on 117 in only 55 deliveries, setting up a crushing victory with 43 balls remaining.
Earlier, South Africa recovered from 77-5 thanks to Marco Jansen’s rapid 55 not out and a late partnership with Tristan Stubbs to reach 169-8, but the total proved far too small as New Zealand’s aggressive batting display overwhelmed the previously unbeaten Proteas.
