Tyson Fury says he wants a long-awaited blockbuster fight with Anthony Joshua following his heavyweight return against Arslanbek Makhmudov this weekend, his first bout in 16 months after coming out of retirement.
While the all-British clash has repeatedly failed to materialise, there is renewed optimism it could finally happen in 2026, with Fury confirming Joshua is his preferred next opponent if all goes to plan.
Joshua, who last fought in December with a stoppage win over Jake Paul, is edging closer to a return after recovering from a car crash, and is expected ringside in London.
Despite both fighters being in the later stages of their careers, the potential matchup still carries major commercial appeal, though some believe it may come too late to satisfy purists.
