Hurricanes crush Reds

The Hurricanes delivered a commanding 52-14 victory over the Queensland Reds in Wellington, extending their long-standing dominance and strengthening their position at the top of the Super Rugby Pacific ladder.

Capitalising on repeated Reds turnovers, the hosts ran in eight tries, including a hat-trick to Fehi Fineanganofo, and pulled away decisively in the second half after leading 24-14 at halftime.

The loss ended the Reds’ four-game winning streak and exposed issues they must address to secure a top-three finish, while the Hurricanes continued their high-scoring form and defensive intensity to underline their title credentials.
