Navajo Stirling made a strong impression in his UFC debut, securing a dominant unanimous decision victory over British fighter Tuco Tokkos in Florida.
Despite not achieving the knockout he desired, the 27-year-old Kiwi showcased his diverse skill set, controlling the fight with sharp striking, effective range management, and solid defensive grappling.
Tokkos tested Stirling’s ground game with a few takedowns but was unable to maintain control, allowing Stirling to dictate the pace and inflict significant damage.
With all three judges scoring the fight 30-27 in Stirling’s favor, the rising star capped off a pivotal year in his career with a decisive win.
