Leicester City put up for sale

Leicester City sale

Leicester City’s Thai owners, King Power, are seeking a buyer after 16 years in charge, with US investment bank Citigroup marketing a package of club assets valued at more than £200 million.

The sale material includes the men’s and women’s teams, King Power Stadium, the Seagrave training complex and Belgian sister club OH Leuven, while highlighting Leicester’s remarkable 2016 Premier League title, 2021 FA Cup victory and academy system.

However, the promotional document reportedly makes no reference to the Foxes’ current League One status, more than £180 million in losses accumulated during recent seasons or £103.6 million in bank loans disclosed in their 2025 accounts. King Power bought Leicester for £35 million in 2010, but consecutive relegations and financial pressures have fuelled supporter demands for a change of ownership.
