Zac Lomax once again stole the spotlight at WIN Stadium guiding the Dragons to an impressive 30-12 triumph over the Warriors.
Lomax showcased his class with a stunning try and a colossal two-point field goal.
The Warriors gained an early advantage with Shaun Johnson’s swift maneuver through a gap, capitalising on a penalty against Francis Molo to secure the opening try, leading 6-0.
However, a pivotal intercept by Jacob Liddle thwarted the Warriors’ relentless assault, allowing the Dragons to regain their footing.
Ben Hunt’s strategic playmaking paved the way for the Dragons’ resurgence, with Moses Suli and Mikaele Ravalawa contributing to their escalating momentum, resulting in a narrow 8-6 lead.
With Hunt’s precision kicking, the Dragons extended their dominance, with Lomax’s formidable field goal propelling them to a commanding 16-6 advantage at halftime.
The second half saw Lomax’s aerial prowess on full display, clinching another crucial try, marking his 100th NRL game in style and widening the Dragons’ lead to 16 points.
Exploiting the Warriors’ defensive lapses, the Dragons capitalised on penalties, with Lomax slotting a penalty goal to further solidify their control.
As the Warriors pushed desperately, the Dragons’ defense remained steadfast, culminating in a remarkable 90-metre dash by Tyrell Sloan, sealing the game at 30-6.
Although Dallin Watene-Zelezniak’s trademark acrobatics provided a fleeting consolation for the Warriors, it was not enough to stop them from succumbing to their most significant defeat of the season.
