Manchester City are on the verge of completing a £65 million move for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, with the Ghana international scheduled to undergo a medical before the end of the week.
City have agreed to trigger Semenyo’s release clause, which must be activated by 10 January, and the deal is expected to be finalised before Saturday.
The 24-year-old is set to complete his medical following Bournemouth’s clash with Tottenham, a match manager Andoni Iraola suggested could be his last for the club.
Despite interest from several Premier League rivals, City were the only side to formally approach Bournemouth. Semenyo has impressed this season with nine goals and three assists, with Iraola admitting he would be extremely difficult to replace.
