Nottingham Forest have appointed Portuguese coach Vitor Pereira on an 18-month contract, making him the club’s fourth permanent manager of the season following the dismissal of Sean Dyche.
Pereira inherits a side sitting just above the Premier League relegation zone after a poor run of form and will immediately prepare the squad for a Europa League knockout play-off first leg against Fenerbahce, followed by a league clash with Liverpool.
The appointment sets a Premier League record for the most permanent managers used by one club in a single season. Pereira returns to English football after a previous spell with Wolves and brings extensive international coaching experience, with Forest also confirming the addition of Filipe Jorge Monteiro Almeida and Luis Miguel Moreira Da Silva to his coaching staff.
