Rabbitohs reclaim top eight spot with win over Tigers

South Sydney returned to the NRL top eight with a hard-fought 24–12 victory over the Wests Tigers, overcoming a spirited comeback led by Apisai Koroisau and playing a man down late in the match.

The Rabbitohs surged to an early 12-0 lead but were tested as Koroisau scored twice and nearly levelled the match before a dropped ball overturned a potential equaliser. Jai Arrow’s late try sealed the win, lifting Wayne Bennett’s depleted side to seventh on the ladder despite missing stars Cameron Murray, Cody Walker, and Jack Wighton. Keaon Koloamatangi starred with a powerhouse 329-metre, 51-tackle performance.
