Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Series draws big NZ audiences

Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry has attracted strong audiences across New Zealand, with 1.275 million viewers watching the series so far on Sky Sport and Three and another 510,000 streaming through Sky Sport Now and Sky Go.

New Zealand Rugby CEO Steve Lancaster said the figures demonstrate the continuing appeal of the All Blacks and the significance of the rivalry, with supporters even tuning in during the early hours to watch matches live.

Sky’s Head of Sport Content Gary Burchett told allblacks.com many viewers were joining coverage from as early as 2am for the pre-match build-up, while others were choosing replays, streaming services or free-to-air coverage, highlighting the range of ways New Zealanders are following the series.
