The Silver Ferns have named a 14-player squad to face South Africa in the Taini Jamison Series, marking the first time in seven years the team plays without Dame Noeline Taurua, who was stood down last week amid unresolved disputes with Netball New Zealand.
Interim coach Yvette McCausland-Durie will lead the side, with a rotating captaincy drawn from a leadership group including Karin Burger, Kelly Jackson, Kate Heffernan and Grace Nweke, after Ameliaranne Ekenasio made herself unavailable.
Matches will be played in Auckland, Napier, and Invercargill, starting Sunday.
