Silver Ferns survive thriller against South Africa to seal Taini Jamison Series

The Silver Ferns pulled off a dramatic 57-56 win over South Africa in Invercargill to complete a 3-0 sweep of the Taini Jamison series.

Facing their first loss to the Proteas since 1995, New Zealand were saved by a last-minute turnover from Maddy Gordon and a clutch long shot from Martina Salmon just before the buzzer.

South Africa led 29-23 at halftime and pushed the Ferns to the brink, with a chaotic final quarter featuring suspensions to both sides.

Grace Nweke led with 49 goals, while Elmere van der Berg starred for South Africa, as the visitors came within a whisker of a historic upset.
