Sititi seals Super Point thriller as Chiefs go top

Returning All Black Wallace Sititi delivered a dramatic finish, crashing over in Super Point to secure a 22–17 win for the Chiefs against the Hurricanes in a tense, defence-heavy contest.

After trailing 12–3 at halftime and struggling to convert territorial dominance into points, the Chiefs clawed back through tries to Simon Parker and Daniel Sinkinson—the latter levelling the match late in regulation—before Damian McKenzie’s charged-down drop goal attempt in extra-time spilled loose for Sititi to power across, ending the Hurricanes’ five-game winning streak and lifting the Chiefs to the top of the ladder.
