Springboks edge Pumas 29–27 to take back-to-back Rugby Championship titles

South Africa secured their second consecutive Rugby Championship crown with a gritty 29–27 win over Argentina at Twickenham, edging the All Blacks on points difference after both finished tied on wins.

Despite trailing early and struggling with handling errors, the Springboks’ power game turned the tide through Cobus Reinach and Malcolm Marx, who each scored twice. Argentina’s late tries narrowed the margin but couldn’t deny the Boks’ sixth title overall, celebrated before a 70,000-strong expatriate crowd.

Captain Siya Kolisi praised the team’s resilience and belief under coach Rassie Erasmus, noting their ability to recover after a poor start to the campaign.
