The Springboks are dealing with a big setback as star lock Eben Etzebeth is doubtful for their upcoming match against the All Blacks due to a knee injury, adding to an already extensive injury list that includes Franco Mostert, Lood de Jager, Jean Kleyn, and Salmaan Moerat.
Springbok assistant coach Deon Davids however views the challenges as an opportunity to develop depth in the squad, with Pieter-Steph du Toit and Ruan Nortje expected to step up.
The match takes place this Sunday 1 September, at Eliis Park in Johannesburg, with kick off at 3am (NZ Time).
