Dame Noeline Taurua is set to return as Silver Ferns coach after reaching an agreement with Netball New Zealand, ending a bitter two-month dispute that fractured the netball community and tested the sport’s leadership.
The deal, finalised late Friday, will see Taurua resume her role at year’s end, with agreed changes to the high-performance environment and personnel.
The standoff followed her abrupt suspension ahead of the South Africa series, sparking one of New Zealand netball’s biggest controversies.
While she will remain sidelined for the rest of the international season, her reinstatement brings closure to weeks of tense negotiations that exposed deep divisions within the Ferns and leadership ranks, reflected in poor recent performances against Australia.
