Ten-man City stun United

Erling Haaland fired 10-man Manchester City to a dramatic 1-0 derby victory over Manchester United after Phil Foden was sent off with more than 70 minutes remaining.

United twice struck the post but were punished on the hour when Haaland converted Josko Gvardiol’s deflected cross, with a lengthy VAR review eventually confirming the goal despite a contentious offside situation.

The win preserves City’s perfect Premier League start under Enzo Maresca and puts them level with Arsenal at the summit, while United remain 13th after dropping points for the third time in four matches.
