Tigers win marred by Koroisau ban threat

Wests Tigers secured a 33–14 win over Canberra last night to continue their strong start to the 2026 NRL season, but the result was overshadowed by co-captain Api Koroisau facing a possible suspension that could impact both the club and his State of Origin hopes.

Koroisau was sin-binned and placed on report for separate incidents, and with prior citations this season, he is now at risk of a ban pending review.

Coach Benji Marshall criticised inconsistent officiating despite the victory, while Adam Doueihi starred with two tries and a dominant all-round performance to strengthen his Origin selection case.
