Trump signs ‘No Men in Women’s Sports’ Executive Order on National Girls and Women in Sports Day

President Donald Trump signed the “No Men in Women’s Sports” executive order on Wednesday, fulfilling a key campaign promise to restrict biological males from participating in girls’ and women’s sports.

The signing took place on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, a day celebrating female athletes and equal access to sports for women.

Trump, joined by several female athletes and advocates in the East Room of the White House, declared, “The war on women’s sports is over,” emphasising that sports should remain sex-segregated based on biological reality.

Riley Gaines, a vocal advocate for fairness in women’s sports, was among those present, sharing her experiences from the 2022 NCAA Championships.

Legal experts and supporters, including Mark Trammel from the Center for American Liberty, hailed the order as a victory for female athletes and a reversal of policies that they argue undermined sex-based distinctions in sports.

The executive order was positioned as a reaffirmation of Title IX protections, with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt criticizing the previous administration’s policies and calling for further legislative action.

She urged the Senate to pass the Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act, which would legally bar biological males from competing in girls’ school sports.

Leavitt framed the order as a step toward ending “gender ideology insanity” and restoring fairness in competition.
