UK boxing star Georgia O’Connor dies at 25 after cancer battle

British boxer Georgia O’Connor, a former Commonwealth Youth Games gold medallist and rising professional talent, has died at age 25 following a battle with cancer.

The Durham native, known for her resilience and vibrant spirit, had recently married and changed her surname to Cardinali.

Undefeated in her professional career with promoter Boxxer, O’Connor was remembered by the boxing world as a courageous and gifted athlete.
