Warriors edge Dolphins 12-16 to secure fifth straight win

The Warriors held off a late surge from the Dolphins to clinch a gritty 12-16 victory, extending their winning streak to five matches and maintaining second place on the NRL ladder.

Dominating early, the Warriors led 0-10 at halftime and stretched the gap with a try from rookie forward Jacob Laban.

Despite a strong comeback effort from the Dolphins—sparked by Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and a sinbinning of Warriors captain James Fisher-Harris for a high tackle—the home side’s defense proved decisive, withstanding 20 sets of second-half possession compared to just nine for the visitors.

The Dolphins’ night worsened with captain Tom Gilbert suffering a pectoral injury, while the Warriors now look ahead to a sold-out home clash against the Raiders after three weeks on the road.
