Warriors overpower Tigers to cement second spot

The Warriors strengthened their hold on second place with a commanding 6-32 victory over the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown, producing another polished display in Round 19.

Powered by outstanding efforts from James Fisher-Harris, Erin Clark and Tanner Stowers-Smith, the visitors surged to an early 14-0 advantage, capitalising on a period when Bunty Afoa was in the sin bin.

Although the Tigers fought back to narrow the deficit before halftime through sustained possession, the Warriors seized complete control after the break with two quick tries that put the result beyond doubt. Despite creating attacking opportunities, the home side was repeatedly denied by resolute Warriors defence, failing to register a line break until the closing minutes.

Taine Tuaupiki topped the yardage with more than 200 running metres, while Jacob Laban and the Warriors’ starting forwards laid a dominant platform through the middle.
