The One New Zealand Warriors have secured three rising rugby league stars from Christchurch—Makaia Tafua, Jason Salalilo, and Bishop Neal—on contracts through to the end of the 2028 season.
The trio, products of the club’s South Island development system, have shown strong progression through the grades, with Tafua and Salalilo already making NSW Cup appearances and Neal starring in the Harold Matthews Cup as a dominant 17-year-old forward.
Their signings underscore the strength of the Warriors’ Christchurch academy, with club officials praising their rapid development, on-field impact, and potential for future first-grade success.
