Western Force snap losing streak in win over Moana Pasifika

The Western Force have claimed their first victory of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season, defeating Moana Pasifika 19–35 in Pukekohe to end a difficult run of results.

The win breaks an eight-match losing streak for the Australian side, who had opened the campaign with back-to-back defeats.

The Force overcame early disruption after playmaker Ben Donaldson was forced from the field for a head injury assessment shortly after kickoff. His return helped steady the visitors, who seized control through dominant forward play, piling on four unanswered tries — many stemming from an effective rolling maul. Moana Pasifika mounted a late response with two consolation tries to deny the Force a bonus point, but the result marked a much-needed turnaround for coach Simon Cron’s side.
