Luxury U.K. department store Harrods has notified customers of a data breach involving a third-party provider that exposed some online shoppers’ names and contact information.
The retailer stressed that the incident was isolated, contained, and did not involve passwords or payment details, adding that its own systems remain secure.
Harrods also clarified the breach was unrelated to a separate attempted cyber attack in May, while UK authorities continue to investigate recent high-profile hacks targeting other retailers and manufacturers.
