Albanese marries Jodie Haydon in private ceremony

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese married his partner Jodie Haydon in a private ceremony at the Lodge in Canberra, held under tight Australian Federal Police security and attended by senior Labor figures, close friends, and family.

The couple kept details confidential until after the event due to rising threats against public officials.

The ceremony featured personal touches including Haydon walking down the aisle with her parents, a flower girl, and the PM’s dog Toto as ring bearer. All costs were paid privately, and the pair wrote their own vows.

Albanese, 62, met Haydon, 46, in 2019, with their relationship becoming public the following year.

The wedding marks the first time an Australian Prime Minister has married while in office.

The newlyweds will take a brief honeymoon in Australia next week.

  2. So rather than addressing peoples concerns, public servants in the West, hide from them behind layers of security which wont mean much, if enough people loose faith in them.
