An Australian man, Liam Michael Ross, 35, was found with multiple stab wounds at Ao Nang Beach in Krabi early Monday morning.

He sustained injuries to his abdomen, leg, and arm, and despite being rushed to the hospital, he later died.

Thai authorities have charged a 43-year-old American man with causing physical injury leading to death.

The American, reportedly under the influence of alcohol and carrying a folding knife, allegedly argued with Ross at a nearby restaurant before the altercation turned physical.

The investigation is ongoing.
