Australia’s Federal Court has ordered the state broadcaster ABC to pay an additional AUD $150,000 in penalties after unfairly sacking fill-in radio presenter Antoinette Lattouf over a social media post about the Gaza war.
The post was a reshare of a Human Rights Watch (HRW) statement, which accused Israel of using starvation as a tool of war in Gaza.
Justice Darryl Rangiah said the broadcaster caved to “lobbying from pro-Israel groups”, breaching Lattouf’s rights and failing both staff and audiences.
The court had already awarded Lattouf AUD $70,000 in damages, but the judge said a “substantial” extra penalty was necessary to ensure ABC learned from its conduct.
Good call Justice Darryl Rangiah.
150K is not a lot. West is spending hundreds of billions for narrative control. Over a trillion on spying on citizens on behalf of globalists.
