Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has responded to the Crocus City Hall attack.

The perpetrators and organizers of Friday’s terrorist attack at a Moscow concert venue must be hunted down without mercy, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has insisted.

At least 60 people were killed and over 100 wounded when several men armed with assault rifles opened fire inside the Crocus City Hall and then proceeded to set the concert venue on fire.

Medvedev is currently deputy chair of the National Security Council. In a Telegram post on Friday evening, he sent condolences to the families of those killed and encouragement to the relatives of the wounded.

“Terrorists understand only terror in response. No trials or investigations will help if force is not countered with force, and deaths with executions of terrorists and a crackdown on their families,” he wrote, noting this was “the way of the world.”

“If these terrorists turn out to be the Kiev regime, we can’t deal with them and their ideological inspirers differently. All of them must be found and mercilessly destroyed as terrorists – including officials of the state that committed such an atrocity,” he added.

“Death for death.”

Medvedev’s words echoed the line by Russian President Vladimir Putin, voiced in 1999, when he was a newly appointed prime minister about to launch a counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus.

“We are going to pursue terrorists everywhere,” Putin said at the time. “If we find them in the toilet, then we will waste them in the outhouse.”

Reminiscing about it in 2011, Putin said the phrasing he used may have been “unpleasant,” but the sentiment behind it was honest and correct.

  1. Czar Bomba for Kiev? Or Tel Aviv for that matter?
As long as those shitty little parasitic countries Israel and Ukraine exists, there will be problems via proxy war in all aspects and auspices.

  2. “Merciless destruction”
“Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?”

The Russians do not mess around. They say it and they will do it. They will go up the chain and find all the people responsible, no matter which country they live in or which government they work for or what position they occupy.

You don’t poke the bear, or the bear will squeeze the life out of you!

Between this Moscow terror attack and Nordstream and the sanctions and seizing of Russian assets (including yachts which is EU piracy) and interference in Ukraine, the Russians have been patient up until now. I do not think they will be much longer.

    • Exactly, the Russians are stepped in tradition, family values and the Russian Othodox Church. I think they have been very forgiving since the 2014 Ukraine uprising, hoping for a peaceful compromise to the overthrow of the Russian friendly Ukraine leader back then. Russian intervention in Ukraine was initiated by what they saw as a long period of abuse of its citizens in the eastern states onclaves including Crimea. The ‘Special Military Operation’ in Ukraine was just that it was meant to restore law and order in Ukraine for all parties also expose to the world the abuse that was being perpertrated there. The US, Nato and a conglomerate of idiots saw it as and opportunity to attack and degrade Russia to the extent of bringing it down and to heel. What wanking dreamer thinks for one second this is going to happen to the worlds biggest nuclear power ?. States everything about their mentality does it not ? The media has portrayed Russia as the aggressor starting a war in Ukraine for its own benefit. No the situation is totally the opposite. If Russia had wanted to start a real war with Ukraine it would have been over in 2 days and one of those days would have been waiting for the dust ashes and smoke to clear with Kiev, Zelensky and Co. not existing anymore. Now we come to today a blatant terrorist attack on innocect citizens in Moscow. The big Russian bear is getting really pissed with this BS, when it roars believe you me the world is going to take notice.

  3. Like this guy, he tells it like it is and has his own nations interests at heart. We could do with people like him here in NZ….
