German peace activists have announced plans for nationwide protests in December against the government’s proposed reintroduction of military conscription, warning that Germany should become “capable of peace, not war.”
The government is preparing to bring back compulsory military service, which has been suspended since 2011, starting with a voluntary enlistment scheme on January 1 that could later expand into a full draft. Officials argue the move is needed to address critical manpower shortages in the armed forces as Berlin seeks to strengthen its military capabilities.
Peace organisations are calling for a national “day of action” on December 5, accusing the government of driving a “comprehensive militarisation of society.” Their joint statement, issued after a weekend meeting in Kassel, said, “The German government’s war preparations and massive arms buildup, along with their drastic social consequences, make it imperative to intensify joint actions by the peace movement.”
Under the slogan “Germany must not become capable of war, but of peace,” activists have urged trade unions, universities, and community groups to resist what they describe as growing militaristic propaganda. “Militarisation is being promoted as ‘security policy,’ while it undermines social, health, and education priorities,” the movement said.
The revival of conscription forms part of a wider European drive for military readiness amid rising tensions with Russia. Chancellor Friedrich Merz has pledged to make Germany’s armed forces the “strongest conventional army in Europe” by 2029, citing a perceived Russian threat. Moscow has dismissed the move as a political distraction, with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accusing Berlin of turning Germany into “the main military machine of Europe.”
The debate comes as Germany faces economic stagnation and industrial decline, heightening domestic criticism over military spending and the country’s growing role as a leading supplier of weapons to Ukraine.

Facilitating conscription (basically slavery) and suppressing protests seems to me what the digital ID rollout is for.
What is going on?
Currently ( Nov) the Royal New Zealand Air Force is hosting several German Air Force (GAF) aircraft and working alongside GAF.
Delusional
Intoxicated in believing their Own propaganda and lies
Sheer acts of desperation
Before the masses turn on the criminals running Germany
All starting with being complicit and implicated in blowing up Nordstream to appease their US overlords and masters and setting the country into a trajectory of self harm and industrialization
These people really are deranged psychopaths
Out of their minds
Russia if it so seeks can wipe Germany off the map
This is the problem – bad actor politicians conveniently think they can engage Russia in a military folly and misadventure – fight and win a limited nuclear war
Absolute insanity
Remove the German Chancellor from office, disregard the E.U., and then re-align the German Defence Force.
Then remove the Zionist / J3wi$h influence in Germany which has resulted in ‘imposed guilt theories’ that the J3w$ have exploited to the max against Germany for the last 105 years!
Conscription is the state saying it owns you = slavery.
