Hamas is expected to reject Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan, calling it biased toward Israel and objecting to key conditions including disarmament, surrendering hostages at once, and the deployment of an international stabilisation force, which it views as occupation.
According to a report today in British state media, while Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted the plan, he has since pushed back on several terms, vowing continued military presence in Gaza and opposing a Palestinian state.
Palestinians in Gaza express desperation for a ceasefire despite flaws in the plan, with many fearing that Hamas’s rejection would hand Israel and its allies justification to continue the war, which has already left tens of thousands dead and the territory on the brink of collapse.
In spite of all the US/Israel bravado what this tells you is Hamas is a tough nut nut to crack and the cruel IDF are suffering losses at their hands.
