Israel enforces new censorship rules on Iran conflict media coverage

Israel media news

Israel’s military censor has imposed strict new rules on domestic media reporting of the Iran conflict, banning the publication or broadcast of images from missile impact sites, locations near military installations, and footage showing missile launches or interceptions.

The directive, issued Tuesday (local time) by Chief Military Censor Brigadier General Kobi Mandelblit, also prohibits sharing videos from social media without prior approval, warning they could be “enemy-generated fake news.”

Journalists must now submit any potentially security-related content for prior review, with the censor holding the power to block stories entirely.
