Kremlin dismisses Trump’s “crazy” Putin remark as “emotional overload”

U.S. President Donald Trump labelled Vladimir Putin “absolutely crazy” after Russia’s largest aerial assault on Ukraine this week.

The Kremlin dismissed the remarks as “emotional overload,” while also defending the strikes as retaliation for Ukrainian attacks on Russian infrastructure.

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Ukraine is no longer restricted in how it uses Western-supplied weapons, potentially paving the way for the delivery of Taurus missiles.

Amid this escalation, reports suggest peace talks may resume, though progress remains minimal following a recent Trump-Putin call and a round of negotiations in Istanbul.

  1. Trump is irrelevant and I think he’s woken up to that fact. Russia will do whats best for Russia. Not the USA, not the West. They are not a satrap, like NZ and AU.
