Elon Musk criticised Wikipedia, calling it “broken” after an article by writer Ashley Rindsberg claimed the platform unjustly associates former president Donald Trump with fascism.
Musk’s comments referenced Rindsberg’s piece, which pointed out Wikipedia entries like ‘Donald Trump and fascism’ and ‘Trumpism’ as portraying Trump and his ideology in a negative light, often suggesting authoritarian and nationalist leanings.
Rindsberg argued that these pages align with left-leaning views and questioned the reliability of the sources used, noting instances where perspectives were attributed to authors with known anti-imperialist or leftist positions.
Musk has said that Wikipedia is “controlled by far-left activists” and advised people against donating to the platform.
Rindsberg’s analysis highlighted a concerning overlap between Wikipedia’s entries and critical narratives in media, like a Guardian article questioning Trump’s alignment with fascism.
Musk’s remarks come on the heels of a Manhattan Institute study suggesting Wikipedia’s English-language articles more often link right-wing leaders with words tied to negative emotions.
The report indicated that these biases may even influence AI language models, underscoring the potential impact of Wikipedia’s content on public perception.
Wikipedia is a CIA asset, as id Deagel.
Look how the Wiki world turned-out for Julian Assange…
Wiki assets are similar to ‘Snopes’, ‘Truth-Finder’, etc.
ALL gather info and the invert the positive about a person, place or event to make it appear to be dterimental.
Maybe Musk, Trump, Assange, and Snowden can come up with a more reliable and truthful alternative?…hopefully?
Haven’t used Wokepedia in years.
Too much left wing gobbledegook passed off as “objective fact”.
They might as well just change their logo into the hammer & sickle and get it over with already.
