An investigation by British state media has found that nearly 90 flights linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein arrived at or departed from UK airports over more than two decades, with records suggesting some British women who later alleged abuse were among the passengers.
Analysis of flight logs and court documents indicates the UK was a significant hub in Epstein’s operations, including at least 15 flights after his 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor in the United States.
Lawyers representing hundreds of victims told British state media it was concerning that no full-scale UK investigation has ever been launched, despite evidence pointing to possible trafficking into and out of Britain.
Three British women appear in Epstein’s flight records, including one whose testimony helped secure the 2021 conviction of Ghislaine Maxwell, yet her lawyer says UK police have never contacted her.
The documents show Epstein used a mix of private jets, chartered planes and commercial flights, often listing female passengers only as unnamed “females”.
Experts say gaps in historic border controls, particularly for private aircraft, may have allowed abuse to continue unchecked. While the Metropolitan Police say they have no new evidence to reopen inquiries, victim advocates argue the findings raise serious questions about enablers, oversight failures and the UK’s response to trafficking allegations linked to Epstein.
