U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro vowed to push for tougher laws targeting youth offenders, criticising the city’s lenient sentencing and “no cash bail” policies during a White House press briefing alongside President Donald Trump.
The announcement is part of a broader plan that includes deploying hundreds of National Guard troops and temporarily taking control of the D.C. police to “restore law and order.”
Pirro said too many violent crimes are committed by “young punks” who evade serious consequences due to their age, pledging to “change that today.”
Trump also reiterated his intention to remove homeless people from the capital and jail offenders, despite violent crime rates being at a 30-year low, according to Fox News.

Crime rate has sky rocketed in DC. In 2021 they stopped reporting crime statistics to the FBI hence why the corporate state media are lying in saying the crime has dropped but besides that even using their own numbers the crime rate is higher than elsewhere.
