Forty-nine members of South Africa’s white minority recently emigrated to the US amid allegations of persecution at home.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is planning a meeting with United States President Donald Trump regarding the refugee status granted to a group of Afrikaners.

The critical meeting comes in the wake of a recent chartered flight that transported 49 Afrikaners to the US, leading to questions about their eligibility for refugee status.

President Ramaphosa addressed the issue on Monday at the Africa CEO Forum in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where he made it clear that the beleaguered migrants did not conform to the established criteria for individuals deserving of refugee protection.

Ramaphosa said he spoke to Trump on Monday afternoon and told him that he had been provided with false information.

“I told him I would like to come and meet him so that we can discuss this matter further,” said Ramaphosa.

Ramaphosa said that he clarified to the US president that some Afrikaners often resist change, preferring to uphold the remnants of apartheid-era practices.

On Monday morning, IOL reported that a chartered plane carrying 49 South African Afrikaners departed for the United States on Sunday night under Trump’s offer for the “discriminated” South African individuals and families to relocate.

The first batch of Afrikaner refugees left OR Tambo International Airport on a flight operated by the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based charter company Omni Air International, and are expected to land in Washington on Monday evening.

Speaking to broadcaster Newzroom Afrika, Chrispin Phiri, spokesperson for Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola said the notion being peddled, that Afrikaners are being persecuted in South Africa, is false.

“We understand it is 49 people who have taken up the offer for refugee status in the United States. Just to be clear, the South African government unequivocally states that these are not refugees. In a country like ours, some of us went to schools where we were taught Afrikaans and by the way Afrikaans is still a medium of instruction and language in many of our schools,” said Phiri.

”We have judges, ministers, former mayors, we have streets named after Afrikaner heroes and Afrikaner nationals in the liberation context as well. To this day, you can drive on Voortrekker Street in any town in South Africa.

“This idea that Afrikaners are being persecuted is completely false, let alone the fact that Afrikaners are not just white people. There are also Africans who are Afrikaners, so this is something that we have stated quite unequivocally, that we contest the status of them being refugees. But we also said we are not going to stand in the way,” he said.

The group of 49 left the country on their South African passports and the government in Pretoria said there is no intention to deprive them of citizenship.

Phiri however highlighted that once the individuals are accepted into the United States refugee system, they cannot be returned to South Africa by the US government – for any reason.

  1. Afrikaner from Dutch calvinistic descent were abusive racists. And probably still are..Protestant (calvinist) introduced so well apartheid in Africa as racial segregation ( and slavery) in the USA.
Old habits don t die fast.
But Mr. Musk must be very pleased with this action. We know this weirdo has the best ” intentions” for humanity. Or what he understand under humanity

  2. I look forward to President Ramaposa clearing this debacle up by showing us how the thousands of posts, pictures and video clips online of battered and bloody and murdered farmers are all deep fakes.

Also impressive how they were able to fake that Malema dimwit and thousands of supporters in a stadium singing “kill the boer”. Must have been some crazy tech to pull that one off.

The fakers are so good, they were even able to pass legislation codifying the removal of farmers from their land through government force. Damn, that 4Chan is really getting out of hand!

    • You are right that the position of white farmers is more than precarious in south afrika.
But hatred does not come out of the blue.
Usually we reap what we sow. At least a century of abuse and treating ” employees” like animals has consequences. People usually have a long emotional memory, especially of abuse of any kind
And yes, i have lived among dutch calvinists. And i can tell you they are hard as nail .

      • Yeah, I’m with you man.

All those damn Dutch Calvinist children murdered in their beds clearly deserved it. Guilt is genetically passed down after all, reap what you sow.

Anyway I’m off to go hunt down an Asian person for what Gengis Khan did to my ancestors 👍

  3. What you don t understand is that europeans introduced the “right to propriety ” in continents where it did not exist and where the land was free to roam for its inhabitants.
Introducing this right in continents where it did not exist enabled the new comers to appropriate land and country’s riches to the detriment of the locals who did not understand those rules. Violence was and is still the result as it was seen as an unjustice. .

New ” illegal” immigrants are not welcom when trying to impose their way of living on western societies You should reflect on this ” mirror image”.

And i am sorry if little children or descendants of those south african pioneers are the now victims of this situation

    • Europeans DID introduce the right to property to lands where it had never existed previously, you’re correct on that. But I would challenge the assertion that it was to the “detriment” of locals.

The lands were anything but “free to roam” prior to colonisation. War, rape, colonisation and genocide are written into the DNA of every nation on this earth, unfortunately. The Apache, the Sioux and the Cherokee were known for scalping rival tribes. The Aztecs cut beating hearts from their rivals’ chests. The Zulu Impi under King Shaka conducted a brutal campaign of Mfecane (crushing) which killed around 2million Ndebele, drove Nguni tribes from their lands and depopulated vast areas. The Maori in New Zealand bartered in decapitated human heads.

This fantasy of academia that every country was a veritable paradise of human happiness until the evil Europeans rocked up and started colonising everything is pure historical revisionist poppycock. Lands and territories were always fought over, resources were always taken from weaker peoples at the tip of a spear or sword.

And no, I’m NOT trying to claim Europeans never engaged in such practices either, but by the time colonisation was in full swing, their entire belief and value system had been profoundly altered by the enlightenment.

Rather than take what they wanted through outright force and slaughter, they chose to negotiate wherever possible; to sign accords and draw up treaties and leave open warfare as the absolute last resort. Try for a moment to appreciate the significance of a militarily superior and more advanced society intentionally choosing NOT to crush their weaker opponents, but to keep their weapons sheathed and to instead attempt to bring them into the fold of their king and their religion as they at the time believed their God demanded. Would simply mass murdering all the natives have been better?

And you’re absolutely right that those tribal leaders didn’t always fully understand what they were signing, how could they? They didn’t know what maps were, most were traditionally nomadic and likely assumed the land belonged to their gods and probably just went on forever. So if someone said to them, “Instead of going to war, we’ll give you this medicine or these blankets or these muskets in exchange for letting us have that patch of land over there,” they probably thought it was the deal of a lifetime and that the Europeans were a bunch of idiots.

America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa did not exist as countries during these times. They were basically gigantic open air nature reserves with nomadic tribes scattered about. They are all fully functioning countries now, cities were built, new nations were formed, some of them even broke away from the crown and gained their own independence. THAT is why it is not a “mirror image” when comparing to modern day “migrants”. There is a vast difference between settling a plain or a prairie or a bushveld of barren land in order to build a new nation there vs pouring into an existing one in order to exploit its tax system and rob, rape and murder its inhabitants because you believe the world owes you something. Trying to conflate the two is intellectually disingenuous and insulting. Nuance is still a thing, context DOES still matter.

And It’s difficult to make the following statement without it sounding bitchy and petty, but anyone who is 100% adamant about “reversing colonisation” should be prepared to reverse it all the way back to the tribal state of being. Where all non-Europeans are sitting huddled around a fire in their animal skins with hungry bellies. Because THAT’S what reality was prior to colonisation.

Now I understand that tribal descendants today are subscribed to a belief that some great injustices were committed against them (and many legitimately WERE) but a huge part of their thinking has unfortunately also been thanks to decades of left wing indoctrination and historical revisionism. It’s the 2020’s; it’s cool and trendy to hate white people and blame your every societal shortcoming on what a bunch of colonists did hundreds of years ago instead of owning up to your own laziness and terrible decision making. But the fact is that there has objectively never been a better time in recorded human history to have brown skin. There is not a western country in the world who will turn you away based on your race, there is no University who will bar you from study, no bank who will not grant you a loan, no employer who may refuse you a job. You have ALL the same rights as everyone else, all you have to do is play by the same rules everyone else does, and you can have all the same things out of life. Equality was won decades ago. Whining about another race’s so-called inherited “privilege” is racist and self-defeating.

And even if you want to disagree with me on ALL of the above that’s fine, but it still doesn’t justify the ideological concept of genetically inherited guilt. No one alive today should be expected to answer for something that happened in 1650, no one alive today (least of all small children) should be expected to suffer for a law that was passed in South Africa in the 1950’s. That is the very crux of the things Nelson Mandela spoke about when he said he was against white supremacy and equally against black supremacy, and it’s something that the South African government have apparently begun to forget. They have learned nothing from their neighbours’ recent history in Zambia, Angola, Namibia, Mozambique or Zimbabwe. When you kill the people who grow your food, YOU END UP STARVING.

If the South Africans truly want to make a fool of Trump and shut this all down, all it would require is them doing something about the farm murders, declaring “shoot the Boer” to be hate speech (which it IS), and reverse their idiotic plans to confiscate land without compensation. But they won’t do any of that. They won’t. Because it isn’t actually a “right wing conspiracy theory”, it’s what they’ve intended to do for a long time now.

I think Trump is right to be letting these people into the states, I think that they will be a net benefit to his country. I think the SA government’s response has been disgusting and unsurprising given the huge amount of egg on their face. And I think the leftist media hate trump and would report negatively on anything he ever does, especially granting refugee status to a bunch of people all the globalist NGO’s and migration services make no money off of. That’s all this about anyway.

But anyway, thank you sincerely for at least acknowledging that it’s bad that little children are being caught up in these killings in SA. No matter how much we may disagree over everything else at least we can find common ground on that. I dont want ANYONE of ANY colour dying over politics and racism.

We’re supposed to be past that BS.
