35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie was on police bail for a rape charge when he launched a deadly knife and car attack on a Manchester synagogue during Yom Kippur.

Two men, security guard Melvin Cravitz, 66, and worshipper Adrian Daulby, 53, were killed, with three others still in hospital.

Police believe Al-Shamie may have been influenced by extremist Islamist ideology, and three additional suspects have been arrested on terrorism charges.

Al-Shamie’s family condemned the attack, expressing sorrow for the victims.

Tributes described Daulby as a hero who died protecting others, and Cravitz as a kind, devoted man.

Armed officers fatally shot Al-Shamie during the incident, but accidentally also killed Daulby and seriously wounded another worshipper, prompting an Independent Office for Police Conduct investigation into the use of lethal force.

  1. I suppose if someone questions on social media why ‘Jihad’ was out on bail for rape the cops will will be sent out to arrest that person for so called hate speech.

    • Sirhan Sirhan’s gun held 8 bullets.
He used an Iver Johnson .22 caliber revolver during the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy on June 5, 1968. This revolver had a cylinder capacity of eight rounds, which became a key detail in later forensic debates.
RFK was shot four times, and five other people were wounded, totaling nine confirmed victims.
Forensic experts and conspiracy theorists have long pointed out that more than eight shots appear to have been fired.
An audiotape analysis suggested at least 13 shots, with some coming from a direction opposite Sirhan’s position.
This discrepancy led to speculation that a second gunman may have been involved.
      Doesn’t stack up.
      A bit like 911.

  2. UK parliament cuts major opposition figure’s security detail

    Moving target.
From all accounts Ben Habib leader of the Advance UK Party does not receive any state protection
Nigel Farage has not been physically attacked or “slashed,” but his taxpayer-funded security detail was reportedly cut by 75%, prompting concerns from within Reform UK.
Reform UK claims that Farage’s government-funded security was slashed by 75% in early September 2025.
The Parliamentary Security Department made the decision, which Reform UK described as “inexplicable” and dangerous given Farage’s public profile.
Farage’s team now relies entirely on private security, reportedly costing over £1 million annually.
