Ten people were hospitalised, nine with life-threatening injuries, after a stabbing attack on a train near Cambridge, England, on Saturday evening.
Police said two men were arrested after armed officers stopped the train at Huntingdon station around 7:40 pm.
Emergency services, including ambulances and armed units, responded swiftly to the scene.
A brief terrorism alert was declared but later withdrawn as investigators cautioned against early conclusions about motive. Witnesses described chaotic scenes as bloodied passengers fled the train, shouting that the attackers had knives.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood both condemned the violence and expressed sympathy for the victims, praising emergency services for their rapid response.
