Three killed in shooting in rural New South Wales town

Three people have been killed and a fourth seriously injured following a reported shooting in the small New South Wales town of Lake Cargelligo, with police continuing to search for the suspected gunman.

Emergency services were called to Walker Street near Yelkin Street about 4.40pm local time, where two women and a man were found dead, while another person was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have urged residents to remain indoors and avoid the area as investigations continue, with reports indicating the suspect remains at large.

Australian media have described the incident as a suspected domestic violence attack, with tactical police deployed and the suspect believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle owned by the local council. Lake Cargelligo, in central New South Wales, has a population of around 1,500 people.

    • Australia’s gone down hill in the last 20 years. The place has become economically depressed, over-run with people who are a burden not a benefit to society and government that’s both inept and corrupt. A lot like NZ, only on a bigger scale, hence its problems are more conspicuous.

  1. Telling people they can’t voice an opinion, in case they inflict a mortal verbal wound and stripping guns from law abiding owners, will fix the problem….right????
