The United States has initiated a review of the AUKUS submarine pact with the UK and Australia, aiming to ensure the multibillion-dollar deal aligns with President Trump’s “America First” agenda.
Under the 2021 agreement, Australia is set to receive nuclear-powered submarines from the US before jointly developing a new fleet with shared technology.

Critics question the feasibility of the US supplying submarines given its stretched capacity, and some suggest the deal may shift toward sharing alternative long-range weapons technology.
