Watch: Trust in US legacy mainstream media TV news plummets

New poll by Gallup reveals a shocking 9 out of 10 Americans don’t trust the news they see on TV.

Online legacy media newsites and newspapers didn’t fare much better, with 8 out of 10 saying they don’t trust them. Trust in a variety of other American institutions has also plummetted in the space of a year.

US political commentator and comedian Jimmy Dore explores why trust in the mainstream media is reaching all-time lows.

    • I agree. I can’t believe those people can sleep at night knowing the scripted BS they spout every day.

The trust is GONE and will never be regained.

    • I don’t even see news anymore, it’s called “programming” for a reason.

The well dressed twit on the idiot box will spend roughly a minute making the initial pitch, and then around halfway through the second minute they deliver the actual angle. If you watch carefully you’ll see it happen every time.

“There was a big storm in Australia today… and this is why some are calling for greater action on climate change”

“Gang violence erupted all over Auckland this weekend… this highlights why a retooling of our internet censorship laws may be necessary.”

“A little old lady in Blenheim had an asthma attack today… and this goes to show the importance of meeting our 2030 emissions targets.

It so predictable at this point, my kids and I have made a game out of seeing who can be first to spot it and shout “ANGLE!”
