World Health Organization aiming to ‘mass vaccinate’ Gaza children

The World Health Organization (WHO) will begin a 10-day vaccination campaign in the Gaza Strip on Sunday to immunize 44,000 children who were missed during two years of war in the enclave.

The campaign targets diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella, and polio, with follow-up doses set for January. Conflict and limited access have left 20% of children under five unvaccinated, driving rates down from 98% before the war to under 70%, according to United Nations figures.

Alongside the campaign, UNICEF will assess malnutrition levels to deliver faster, “targeted assistance” to vulnerable children.

  1. I take it the WHO will be providing each one of the 44,000 children and their parents full dislosure of the vaccine ingredients and fully legal and comprehensive information on risks for the purposes of informed consent? Yeah right
