Zelensky will have to make a deal – Trump

Zelensky deal news

The US president has been pushing for a settlement in the Ukraine conflict.

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday renewed calls for a settlement to the Ukraine conflict, insisting that Vladimir Zelensky will eventually have to strike a deal with Moscow.

Trump, who has been pushing for direct talks between Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to bring an end to the hostilities, previously claimed that he would need to “intervene” personally to bring them together.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday as he was departing for London, Trump repeated several times that “Zelensky’s gonna have to make a deal.”

Putin has said he is ready in principle to meet Zelensky and suggested the Ukrainian leader could travel to Moscow for talks. Kiev has rejected the idea, saying it would not accept “deliberately unacceptable proposals.”

At the same time, the Russian president has questioned Zelensky’s legitimacy and also expressed doubt about whether talks with him would be “meaningful.” Zelensky’s presidential term expired in May 2024, but he has refused to hold elections, citing martial law.

Moscow has insisted on a peace agreement that addresses the underlying causes of the conflict. It has demanded that Ukraine maintain neutrality, stay out of NATO and other military blocs, demilitarize and denazify, and accept the current territorial reality – including the status of Crimea and the other regions that voted to join Russia in referendums in 2014 and 2022.

  1. If Trump is serious about ending the war in Ukraine then he should pull the US out of NATO. Until that happens Zelensky and the Europeans will try every false flag in the book to drag the US into a full scale war against Russia under Article 5 of the NATO Treaty.

  2. Trump is like a mad womans sh*t
    All over the place
I Am very suspicious of anybody who calls him president
He has done a 180 on every thing he promised
Like Zelensky who he is criticizing here
Who also came to power on a platform of peace and in fighting corruption
And both now involved in a systematic destruction of their respective cuntries
By placing the US into isolation from the rest of the world
Trump is as bogus as a $3 bill
A Wailing Wall bought and paid for Zionist suck hole
Who very likely may have dirt on him
Which may go some way in explaining his bazaar uncoordinated reactionary non strategic actions and thinking
Trump is merely rearranging the deck chairs on a sinking ship that has hit a fiscal iceberg
The US is going down and there’s no stopping it
    Done on both sides
    Double battered and Dixie fried
The US has been hijacked and subverted – destroyed and bankrupted through race mixing usury and endless wars of attrition on foreign soils
All the stones have been turned over and there’s nowhere to run nor hide
The musics over and its time to find a seat
    And to pay the piper

  3. Zelenski is living on borrowed time
    A dead man walking
Which is why he is not interested in ending
    But prolonging the war
And in siphoning off illicit gains attained through US and other military destined funding
