Professor Tim Noakes was ranking the top four scams in medical history.
South African Noakes was speaking at an event in March organised by BizNews, one of South Africa’s leading business and investment websites.
Noakes is emeritus professor of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine at the University of Cape Town and has written a series of best-selling books on health and diet over a scientific career that has spanned almost 50 years.
Noakes was invited to talk about the biggest scams in medical history. COVID took first place, second went to diet-heart cholesterol/statin science, third was Type 2 diabetes and obesity research, and in fourth place was ultra-processed food.
Noakes told the audience COVID-19 was pseudo-science pushed by experts in the legacy media who were ‘imitation scientists.’
The COVID crisis had seen the basic principles of the scientific method ignored by mainstream experts. Science, he said, was a lifelong journey to discover evidence which challenges the status quo, but during COVID this evidence was discarded and even ridiculed.
‘When you hear scientitists with absolute certainty say that ‘this is the reality’ then you must question them.
‘An authentic scientist engages in a lifelong expedition to uncover any evidence that challenges his or her most hallowed teachings.’
If a scientist doesn’t test his/her hypothesis or beliefs, ‘then you don’t believe him,’ said Noakes.
‘What’s happened is that science has been taken over by imitation scientists. Imitation scientists believe science is a religion and he or she is the high priest/priestess. If you go through and watch what was said about COVID-19, this is the information you were getting.’
How do you identify an imitation scientist? According to Noakes, these are the red flags to look out for:
- They have zero interest in all the evidence, especially any evidence that challenges the dominant (paid for) doctrine. ‘They’re without doubt, they never question, they never debate, they say only what they are allowed to say, and the mainstream media today gives you a message that only they are allowed to say.’
- They have close ties to industry.
- They discard any data that doesn’t agree with them. They discard it and tell you to ‘trust the experts’.
Pseudo-science is equivalent to match-fixing in sport – the outcome is decided even before the activity begins.
The professor also warned his audience not to trust the mainstream media. ‘You cannot believe the mainstream media at the moment because it’s all a paid for doctrine and it’s false.’
For Noakes, the classic example of an imitation scientist is Anthony Fauci, the former Chief medical advisor to the US President.
‘Analysis of the Pfizer documents by a team of experts assembled by author Naomi Wolf showed ‘the COVID vaccine has been a catastrophe with the rate of injuries horrendous, particularly amongst women,’ he said.
That’s good enough for me, start the trials!
