A 53-year-old man pleaded guilty today to using a fish-filleting knife to slit the throat of a child whom he had raised, upon discovering she was not his biological child.

The child had been conceived as the result of an extramarital affair.

The chilling revelation unfolded in the High Court at Auckland, where the man, who had been on bail until now, entered guilty pleas for attempted murder and kidnapping charges.

The court heard that the man, whose identity remains secret due to interim name suppression, brought a backpack and a large bottle of water as he appeared before Justice Timothy Brewer, who ordered him to be remanded in custody until his sentencing next month.

According to court documents, the man’s marriage of 20 years had been strained for some time, culminating in the violent attack in December 2022. In a state of intoxication after a night of drinking, he led the unsuspecting young girl, who had prepared him food earlier, to the garage. There, he revealed the truth about her parentage before viciously assaulting her with the knife, causing severe injuries.

According to legacy media, court documents said the knife, ‘with a 15cm blade, caused extensive damage – cutting through muscle, exposing her windpipe and cutting her jugular vein. The injury began bleeding heavily. However, fortunately, the laceration narrowly missed the carotid artery.’

Despite attempts to stifle her screams, the commotion alerted others in the house, who intervened and prevented further harm. The child underwent emergency surgery at Middlemore Hospital and survived the ordeal.

The court also learned of a separate incident where the defendant kidnapped his wife, motivated by suspicions of infidelity and financial pressures plaguing their relationship. Holding her against her will for over six hours, he resorted to threats and violence, culminating in his apprehension by one of his adult sons.

The defendant’s guilty pleas resulted in the withdrawal of an additional charge related to the injury of his son during the knife attack.

The defendant arrived in New Zealand from Fiji in the early 2000s, and was accompanied in court by an interpreter.

  1. You have to wonder what’s going on inside some peoples heads, we all have our problems but to do this to a child….I don’t get it. I suspect prison wont be a happy place for him.

  2. Vaccinated? with the loss of cognitive reality?
Irrespective of the above two, this is totally unacceptable!

  3. Seems like he didn’t want the child anymore and exercised “his right to choose”.

All the pro-abortion people I debated yesterday are definitely with me on this one! Right guys?

  4. Don’t be silly Quacc. The man is a drunkard, a sadistic control freak, a loser from way back and bred in the same vein as the murderers of Baby Ru. Although thinking in retrospect, if HE had been terminated, would it not have been a good thing?
(I’m in favour of the death penalty as well wouldn’t you know it.)

    • Nah, the guy’s a total POS. No question about it. I was just being a sarcastic c*nt. I’m glad the little girl’s okay.

Still would not have wanted him aborted as a baby, but they can abort him NOW by all means. On that we agree.
